Constant Contact acquired by Endurance International for $1 billion

Endurance, the company behind big web brands including BigRock, HostGator, and FatCow, announced on Monday it would take over Constant Contact in a deal evaluate at $1.1 billion in a try to expand their business activities beyond its traditional Web-hosting market.

The deal will add Constant Contact’s online marketing solutions such as events management, email marketing, and social media integration to Endurance International’s services oriented toward small and medium-sized businesses; and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2016, but Constant Contact will stay a separate brand.

This deal is considered a very controverted one because of its value and especially that last Endurance acquisition of HostGator was not welcomed by the Hostgator clients. But let’s wait and see.
