Twitter is about to cut up to 336 jobs out of its 4,100 employees working for the company around the world. Which represents around 8.2% of the company’s global workforce.
Jack Dorsey, who just became full-time CEO again, shared the news in an email sent to the Twitter team.
The downsizing comes at the same time Twitter is restructuring its engineering organization to make it leaner and more efficient. But even if the engineering team will be smaller, it will still represent the biggest team of the company.
The last tweet of Jack explains everything…
Made some tough but necessary decisions that enable Twitter to move with greater focus and reinvest in our growth. http://t.co/BWd7EiGAF2
